I thought it was posted as if it were a synonym in words like ayornado, ayornar or ayornarse, but I couldn't find it. In any case, it doesn't seem like a locution to me, it's a phrase that is understood by itself, like 'put' ('by the action of putting') and 'to the day [of today]' ('by the updated version of something').
